My youngest, a Vet practicing in Scotland, was home for the holidays and was keen to try 3D printing.  Eons ago I’d bought all the equipment for investment or lost wax casting but had not got around to using it.

This seemed like a great opportunity to do so!  He found a stylized sculpture of a canine, and being a vet, thought that might make a good desktop curiosity/paper weight so we set to work.

Lots learned and a lot preparation and detail were needed but we methodically plodded along and ended up with a great result.  I may do a write up on the process, however for now, the below video gives a glimpse of what was a week long project by the time everything was made or acquired, thought through and understood
